Andrew Herzog

Andrew is a recent graduate of architecture with tthree+ years of experience as a designer, drafter, and assistant project manager. He has assumed these roles in small to large scale commercial, institutional, and academic projects ranging from new construction, adaptive re-use, and building systems design. Andrew has experience in sustainable design and emerging technologies and has experience in all phases of design, building systems coordination, detailing, project documentation, and construction administration. He recently completed a thesis project involving hedonistic resilience for coastal housing and the hybridization of building systems.

Provided building testing services for the exterior envelope including roof and waterproofing testing.
Merrimack College – Andover, MA
Supported the development of a multi-story, new construction dormitory complex through construction administration and fenestration testing services. Responsibilities included field observations, coordination with the project team, and oversight of window and curtain wall performance testing to verify air, water, and structural compliance. The work helped ensure the building envelope met design intent, performance standards, and institutional durability requirements.

Performed on-site review of the prefabricated building system and provided building testing services for the building envelope including multiple window types on prefabricated residential units.

Carriage House – Jamaica Plain, MA
Performed EPDM roof replacement design and related building envelope services for a multi-story brick masonry structure. Work included assessment of existing roof conditions, development of replacements details, and coordination of associated repairs to ensure compatibility with the existing masonry facade. The project emphasized long-term waterproofing performance and constructability within an urban occupied setting.

Provided building testing services for the entire existing building envelope including roof drains, precast concrete panels and multiple window types.
Sherman Woods Condominiums – Canton, MA
Provided comprehensive shingle roof replacement design and construction administration services for a 46-unit townhome community. Scope included evaluation of existing roof conditions, development of replacement design documents, coordination with ownership and contractors, and on-site construction administration to ensure proper installation, code compliance, and long-term performance.

Provided building testing services for the building envelope including multiple window and door assemblies.
Longwood Towers – Brookline, MA
Provided professional services for a high-rise apartment complex involving restoration and comprehensive leak investigations. The scope included facade assessments, identification of water infiltration sources, and evaluation of masonry and building envelope conditions. Findings informed repair strategies aimed at extending service life, improving weather resistance, and protecting occupied residential spaces.
