The COOP Harvard Square

BET was retained by the facilities manager at the Harvard Cooperative Society to design and oversee the restoration of the rear masonry facades at the Harvard Square COOP located at 1400 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge. This historic building is a 2-4 level composite steel and mass masonry structure that was originally constructed in the early 20th century. The project scope included brick masonry crack repair, spalled brick replacement, mortar joint repointing, cast stone repair, and exterior sealant replacement. BET prepared the design documents, facilitated the bid process, and provided construction administration and field observation services during the project.
