Graham Carr is a licensed structural engineer with over 10 years of experience in the structural engineering and building envelope fields. His structural project expertise includes condition assessments, evaluations, concrete restoration, structural strengthening, and structural design of wood, steel, and reinforced concrete. The majority of Graham’s career has been spent on the restoration and repair of existing buildings, power facilities, and various utility structures. His focus is on applying structural engineering solutions to support restoration projects.

Structural engineering of an assisted living home to (80) residential apartment units. The project entailed replacement of foundations, new interior shear walls, new roof and floor openings, strengthening of roof structures for new mechanical equipment, new concrete stairs and a new steel-framed entrance canopy.

 

*32 Church Street, Cambridge, MA

Structural engineering and building envelope consultation for fire-restoration and tenant fit-out project. The 12,800 sq ft facility underwent extensive renovation after a fire, including new floor framing stairs, riser shafts, columns, foundations, and new roof framing to support mechanical units, as well as a roof replacement and exterior masonry/pre-cast restoration project.

 

*675 West Kendall, Cambridge, MA

Structural engineering and building envelope consultation for the roof and exterior walls of a 300,000 sq ft pharmaceutical laboratory and office facility. The project included EPDM roof system replacement, PMMA waterproofing, concrete pavers, masonry restoration, sealant replacement, and various doors, stairs, railings, ladders, and other miscellaneous materials.
